Picture Books

A series of picture books “The Bears’ School” with warm stories by Mr. Hiroyuki Aihara and delicate and polished pictures by Ms. Nami Adachi was first released in 2002, and 2.22 million copies in total have been issued since then, making it representative picture books of Japan. They are translated and published in foreign countries and have become a series of picture books loved all over the world.

License (Japan & Overseas)

“The Bears’ School” related goods including stuffed toys, stationery, foods and daily cosmetics, etc., have been widely licensed to approximately 80 companies in Japan with more than 30,000 items, are currently expanded to overseas mainly in Asia and will be spread to various countries around the world. Goods providing everyday life with fun are loved by many people from children to adults.

Charity & Social Contribution

“The Bears’ School” is actively engaged in social contribution activities under the name of “Cheer Jackies!” We continue to support children through activities such as aids for “Kids Earth Fund” NPO, visits to disaster-hit areas, visits to kindergarten and nursery schools in various areas and donation of picture books, and charity musical “Jackie!”

Collaboration with Other Companies

We are widely conducting collaboration with other companies to develop various items such as snack breads with Pasco Shikishima, baby foods with Morinaga Milk, stamps and goods with Japan Post, and kids' lesson with ABC Cooking Studio and so on. “The Bears’ School” beloved by a broad range of age groups are widely spreading because of its unique characteristic.

Events

We are having many people from children to parents, and men and women experience the world which is popped out of the picture book through the events of original picture exhibition, cafe, workshop, etc.

Store Development

We are developing stores full of “The Bears’ School” goods which makes people feel like having entered the picture book. In addition to the world's first official shop “Jackie’s Dream” Tokyo Station Store, we are developing premium shops and sections and conducting sales fairs regularly throughout Japan.

Keep IT UP, LULU & LOLO!

Twin Lulu and Lolo are the characters that appeared in the “Jackie’s Little Sisters” which is the seventh work of the picture book series of “The Bears’ School“. They became popular as recognized like sisters of the main character, Jackie, and broadcasting of animation program “Keep it up, Lulu & Lolo!” started on NHK’s Educational TV channel in 2013. Now, we are offering many licensed goods under the official goods brand of “TINY★TWIN★BEARS” in addition to broadcasting the program.
